Charlene & The Colonel
Brought into this world in 1964, Charlene is a Turino Turquoise Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, and epitomizes the height of American glamour in that era. When we found her, time had weathered her beauty, leaving rust where chrome once gleamed and her leather interior sun bleached long past its prime. Beneath it all though, Charlene still had the bones and the glimmer of a radiant star.
After decades in a Canadian auto museum, fate — and a commissioned Kentucky Colonel with a soft spot for Southern style — found her in California in 2021. What followed was a five-year revival of patience, craftsmanship, and love. Her journey began under the Los Angeles sun, where her body was reborn and her interior reimagined in white Italian leather and fine grained blonde bird’s-eye oak — every curve polished and restored to its former grace.
Once in Louisville, and through the help of many, Charlene found her way into the capable hands of master mechanic Scott Proctor at D&S Auto, where precision met passion. With countless components replaced and every system renewed, he and his team breathed vitality back into her frame with the devotion of artisans. When Scott’s work was done, Charlene purred like it was 1964 once more. It wasn’t just the smooth hum of the engine — it was poetry in motion.
Today, Charlene calls Louisville home, gliding through the streets and bringing strangers together with a confidence only time can teach. Driven by the Colonel himself — part cowboy, part gentleman — Charlene is more than a car. She’s an experience, a memory in motion, and a reminder that some legends grow only finer with age.
